Gerritt & Tara Kenyon have been ministering in Panama since 2010. As they share the gospel in the public high schools of Panama City through ethics and character presentations, urgent needs have emerged through altar-time conversations with students.
In September 2016, El Refuge Urban Ministry Center was opened as a response to many of those urgent needs. Many need a safe place to study during the long hours their families are away at work and they do not have supervision to keep them safe from vulnerable situations and predatory behaviour. Others need help with homework. Some just need friends and adults who care about them. Regardless of the need, our doors are open, Here he demonstrate the love of Jesus in simple, mundane ways.
